I went to the Gentlemen's Races in Wildwood NJ. I wrote about this afterwards, you can look back in my kinja posts to find it. They're incredible people, and the club has an amazing history (from one of the members, Meldon Stultz):
"We have a great history starting back in 1947 with the original club. They were true Gents and we try to make our ancestors proud. We always hand paint all our own signage on our tracks, and we always include... Support our Veterans. For with out them, we would be nothing.
Our club was originally founded by 5 service guys returning home, that decided to go racing. I too am a former Marine. This year we hope to rent an old Army barrack near my house, [removed]. It has a great history. We want to have a spaghetti dinner /dance with live rock bands, 50/60s in style. It will be a hoot, but we want to help the Marines, toys for tots!"
